Microchip Technology PIC18F1220 and PIC18F1320 8-Bit Microcontrollers feature nanoWatt Technology, making these devices ideal for battery managed applications. The PIC18F1220 and PIC18F132 MCUs have six enhanced, software-controlled power-management modes, with power consumption as low as 0.1mA in standby mode. These devices also include a low-current watchdog timer, a 2-speed start-up from a reset or sleep mode, and a fail-safe clock monitor that is used to detect an external clock failure.
