Cirrus Logic's CS48540 cost-effective, high-performance 32-bit DSP is ideal for applications associated with multi-channel and virtual-channel sound enhancements including digital televisions, multimedia peripherals, automotive head units, PC speakers, and more. This Cirrus Logic device features 300,000,000 MAC/S, dual MAC cycles per clock, extremely accurate 72-bit accumulators, 24k x 32 SRAM, 8-channel internal DMA, and internal watch-dog DSP lock-up retention, as well as internal ROM that contains a variety of configurable sound enhancement features.
