LM74500-Q1 Reverse Polarity Protection Controller

Texas Instruments LM74500-Q1 Reverse Polarity Protection Controller is an automotive AEC Q100 qualified controller which operates in conjunction with an external N-channel MOSFET as a low loss reverse polarity protection solution. The wide supply input range of 3.2V to 65V allows control of many popular DC bus voltages such as 12V, 24V, and 48V automotive battery systems. The 3.2V input voltage support is particularly well suited for severe cold crank requirements in automotive systems. The device can withstand and protect the loads from negative supply voltages down to –65V. The LM74500-Q1 does not have reverse current blocking and is suitable for input reverse polarity protection of loads that can potentially deliver energy back to the input supply, such as automotive body control module motor loads.

LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers

Texas Instruments LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers with Low Quiescent Current offers intelligent control of a high-side N-channel MOSFET during normal on/off transitions and fault conditions. The constant rise time of the output voltage results from the inrush current control. Both an Input UVLO (with hysteresis) and a programmable input OVP are provided, with an enable input offering a remote on or off control. The initial start-up VGS fault detection delay time, the transition VDS fault detection delay time, and the continuous over-current VDS fault detection delay time is programmed from a single capacitor. The MOSFET is latched off until either the enable input, or the UVLO input is toggled low and then high when a detected fault condition persists longer than the allowed fault delay time.
