B592 Encased AEC-Q200 PTC Thermistors

EPCOS / TDK B592 Encased AEC-Q200 PTC Thermistors are offered in a flame-retardant case and can replace high-power fixed resistors for capacitor charging and work as an inrush current limiter for smoothing DC link capacitors. The series is designed for voltages from 280V_AC to 560V_AC, offers rated resistances from 22Ω to 100Ω at 25°C, and has a heat capacity of up to 2.3 J/K. B592 PTC thermistors are self-protecting in case of malfunction of short-circuit relay or internal short circuit of the capacitor. The components have an encased thermistor disk with clamp contacts. The devices are ideal for high pulse currents and offer a high number of operating cycles. When used as inrush current limiters, thermistors are not damaged when directly connected to V_max even without additional current limitations.
