TPS62933EVM Converter Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments TPS62933EVM Converter Evaluation Module (EVM) is used to evaluate the TPS62933, a high-efficiency, easy-to-use synchronous buck converter, which provides 5V at 3A from 3.8V to 30V input. The TPS62933 is suited for systems powered from 5V, 12V, 19V, and 24V power-bus rails. The evaluation module supports up to 3A continuous output current, 0.8V to 22V output voltage, and a maximum 98% duty cycle operation. The Texas Instruments TPS62933 employs a fixed frequency peak current control mode for fast transient response and good line and load regulation. The optimized internal loop compensation eliminates the external compensation components over a wide range of output voltages and operating frequencies. The pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode maximizes the light load efficiency. The ULQ™ (ultra-low quiescent) feature is extremely beneficial for extended battery life in low power operation. The switching frequency can be set by the configuration of the RT pin in the range of 200kHz to 2.2MHz, which allows for optimizing system efficiency, filtering size, and bandwidth.
