Solutions for High-Temperature Applications

KYOCERA AVX High-Temperature Capacitors, Thermistors, and Varistors offer high-temperature solutions for a broad range of applications, including power conversion, RF transient voltage suppression, board-level miniature bulk capacitance, high voltage, and small-signal. Product families range from miniature SMT/leaded ceramics and stacked ceramic capacitors to traditional and wet tantalum capacitors, varistors, and high Q RF capacitors. X8R Dielectric MLCC

KYOCERA AVX X8R Dielectric MultiLayer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) is designed for use in applications up to 150°C. This MLCC can be used as a bulk capacitor for high-temperature electronics module. KYOCERA AVX X8R MLCC provides a highly reliable capacitor with low loss and stable capacitance over temperature. This surface mount MLCC offers different variants based on the size, voltage, dielectric material, packaging, terminations and other features. Typical applications are automotive under the hood sensors, drilling monitoring system, and bulk capacitors for high-temperature camera modules.

Automotive Ceramic Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX Automotive Ceramic Capacitors feature a wide range of multilayer ceramic capacitor technologies that meet or exceed AEC-Q200 requirements. These KYOCERA AVX capacitors include surface-mount and leaded MLCCs as well as surface-mount feedthru filters.

FLEXITERM® Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM® Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are designed to enhance the mechanical flexure and temperature cycling performance of a standard ceramic capacitor with an X7R dielectric. The FLEXITERM technology meets the demand for components with enhanced mechanical strength and flexibility when used in harsh environment applications, such as automobiles, and in applications where temperature variation exists. KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM MLCCs provide up to 5mm of flexure without internal cracks, 3mm above the 2mm industry standard. In addition, these advanced MLCCs reduce circuit board flex failures and offer increased temperature cycling performance of 3,000 cycles and beyond, a base metal electrode system, and automotive and commercial grade product selections.

Automotive FLEXITERM® & FLEXISAFE® MLCCs

KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM® and FLEXISAFE® MLCCs feature enhanced mechanical strength and are ideal for automotive and medical applications, depending on the model. These MLCCs satisfy the requirement for enhanced mechanical strength by ensuring electrical integrity is maintained while external forces are being applied to the component. KYOCERA AVX FLEXITERM MLCCs provide up to 5mm of flexure without internal cracks.
