MPS EV2636-R-00A Evaluation Board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of MP2636. The EV2636-R-00A evaluation board uses charge mode and boost mode to manage the system. This evaluation board provides up to 2.5A programmable charge current in boost mode. The EV2636-R-00A board is available with full operating status indicators to differentiate between boost mode and charge mode. This evaluation board operates in a voltage range of 4.5V to 6V. The features include overvoltage protection, battery temperature monitoring, and a programmable timer to prevent prolonged charging of a dead battery. The applications include sub-battery applications and power-bank applications for smartphone, tablet, and other portable devices.
