Optical Sensors

Vishay Optical Sensor portfolio includes reflective, transmissive, and ambient light sensors. These feature either analog or digital output. They are used in consumer, computing, industrial, and automotive applications. Reflective and transmissive sensors are typically used to detect the presence of an object, and to determine its directional motion and speed. Ambient light sensors are used to measure the environment’s light level. Sensing the color of an object, a gesture of a hand, the heart rate of a person, or the rate of rainfall are all possible with Vishay optical components.

VCNL Proximity & Ambient Light Sensors

Vishay Semiconductors VCNL Proximity and Ambient Light Sensors are optical sensors, each combining an IR emitter, PIN photodiode, ambient light detector, signal processing IC, with 16-bit resolution, and an I2C interface. These features are integrated to greatly simplify window and sensor placement, PCB layout, and communication functions in a wide variety of consumer and industrial applications. The combination of the proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and infrared emitter into a single component not only simplifies the design-in process by making a mechanical barrier unnecessary but also virtually eliminates optical cross-talk in smartphones.

VCNL4200 Proximity & Ambient Light Sensor

Pinagsasama ng Vishay Semiconductors VCNL4200 na Hanggang sa 1.5m Proximity at Ambient Light Sensor na may I2C Interface ang 940nm infrared emitter (IRED), ambient light sensor (ALS), at mataas na sensitivity sa malayuang distansya na proximity sensor (PS).
