SA Mini-Breakers (Miniature Thermal Cutoff Device)

Bourns SA Miniature Resettable Thermal Cutoff (TCO) Devices or Breakers are designed for surface mount reflow soldering processes. The SA series can be reflow soldered onto PCBs and has current capabilities from 6A up to 11A at 60°C.  These TCOs come in a very low-profile package with a maximum height of just 1.09mm. These are able to withstand typical humid environments and utilize a high corrosion resistance bimetal mechanism. The Bourns SA series is RoHS compliant and UL recognized. Applications include battery cell protection in notebook PCs, tablet PCs, and smartphones. The SA series can also be used for thermal protection in USB Type C™ cables.
