SJxx12xx 12A High-Temperature SCR Thyristor

Littelfuse SJxx12xx 12A High-Junction Temperature SCR Thyristor is a thyristor with a 6mA, 100mA, or 20mA low gate current trigger level maximum at approximately 1.5V. This SCR thyristor tolerates insufficient cooling and high inrush currents at startup. The SJxx12xx SCR thyristor features up to 600V blocking voltages, a wide operating margin, smaller heat sinks, longer field life, and a 150°C maximum junction temperature. This SCR thyristor tolerates is RoHS compliant and UL-recognized compound meeting a flammability rating of V-0. The SJxx12xx SCR thyristor is ideal for uni-directional switch applications. Typical applications include AC Generators (ACG), phase control in heating, motor speed controls, converters/rectifiers, control for power tools, and white goods appliances.

Electrical Vehicle DC Fast Chargers

DC charging stations are designed to convert the electrical grid’s AC power into DC power that can then be fed directly into a vehicle’s battery system for fast charging – in 30 minutes or less. Because the conversion from AC to DC power is being done in the charging station, these units can provide higher levels of power (50kW to 350kW and beyond) to the vehicle compared to AC charging stations. Working with tens to hundreds of kilowatts of power, efficient conversion, reliability of the system, and user safety are critical.
