ESD Protection Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that protect components from ESD threats. ESD threats are extremely fast, low-energy events that can wreak havoc on electronic equipment. Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Littelfuse produces varistors, suppressors, indicators, and more so users can find the right protection to ensure the long-term reliable operation of applications.

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

PulseGuard® ESD Suppressor

Littelfuse PulseGuard® ESD Suppressor features an ESD-suppressing polymer that adds virtually no capacitance to the circuit. The suppressor offers a 0402 small form factor and low capacitance of 0.07pF (typical) to protect signal integrity when high-speed data is being transferred. The low trigger voltage at 150V and the low clamp voltage at 40V effectively protect the device from damage. Littelfuse PulseGuard ESD Suppressor is ideal for consumer electronics with high-frequency data input and output and any application with high data rate connectivity.
