PAN1740 Beacon

Panasonic PAN1740 Beacon is a BLUETOOTH® Low Energy device based on the single-mode BT smart system-on-chip PAN1740. The PAN1740 Beacon from Panasonic can run on one single-coin battery for years because of its ultra-low power consumption of less than 5mA in TX mode. The Beacon is compact at 26mm x 24mm and includes an antenna. This device comes pre-configured for out-of-the-box use and transmits a unique user ID number to smartphones, tablets, or personal computers. Apps use that ID to execute a course of action like indoor positioning, providing shoppers with personalized sales pitches, and promotions at specific store locations. This allows the user to get additional information on points of interest.
