Microchip Technology MTCH3380P 38-Channel Touchscreen Controller
Microchip Technology MTCH3380P 38-Channel Touchscreen Controller utilizes Microchip's patented charge-transfer acquisition engine and capacitive sensing technology to measure, classify, and track multiple touch inputs with high accuracy and fast response times. This controller supports both mutual and self-capacitance measurements, allowing self-capacitance sensing to augment mutual-capacitance measurements for more reliable touch detection. Configurable touch key arrangements are supported with up to 64 mutual-capacitance keys and up to 38 self-capacitance keys. Keys can be grouped into up to eight sliders or wheels, and adjacent key suppression (AKS) technology helps prevent false key activations. Additional features include configurable acquisition schemes, noise-suppression technology, and automatic touch-sensor diagnostics. Microchip Technology MTCH3380P also incorporates security and power-management features.
