FTDI Chip UMFT232HPEV-S Sink Module Board
FTDI Chip UMFT232HPEV-S Sink Module Board is a high-speed USB Type-C™ to multipurpose UART/JTAG/SPI/I2C serial interface module with a single Type-C USB PD port. The UMFT232HPEV-S Sink Module Board provides a power source of 3.46V for FT232HPQ and most other circuits on the board.
The UMFT232HPEV-S 47mm by 32mm 4-layered printed circuit board incorporates a single Type-C power delivery port that serves only as a sink port. EEPROM is not mounted in this module.
The port supports the following configurations:
• 5V power delivery object (PDO) profiles - as defined in revision 3.0 of the USB Power Delivery specification when connected to PD chargers
• Offers USB data transmission with default USB power capability when connected to non-PD PC host
The GPIO pins on the FTDI UMFT232HPEV-S are used to indicate via LEDs whether the module is connected to a PD charger or a USB2.0 host and control the load switch.
