Infineon Technologies Isolated Gate Drivers
Infineon Isolated Gate Drivers use magnetically coupled coreless transformer (CT) technology to transfer signals across galvanic isolation. These drivers offer functional basic, reinforced isolated, UL 1577, and VDE 0884 certified products. The isolation allows for very large voltage swings (e.g. ±1200V). These isolated drivers incorporate the most important key features and parameters for MOSFET, IGBT, IGBT modules, SiC MOSFET, and GaN HEMT driving.
The Infineon EiceDRIVER™ is offered as industrial and automotive-qualified products. Depending on power switch type and applications, EiceDRIVER galvanically isolated gate driver ICs offer short circuit protection, precise input filters, and extended CMTI capability of 100kV/μs. The devices also come with an active Miller clamp, DESAT protection, wide output-side supply range, negative gate voltage capability, soft turn-off, two-level turn-off, and strong robustness. The galvanically isolated gate driver ICs provide strong (up to 10A) gate-drive currents for excellent power switching efficiencies.
The Infineon EiceDRIVER 1ED Compact family single channel isolated gate driver with Miller clamp or separate output is the most versatile and simplistic isolated gate driver IC family. This family offers active Miller clamp, separate output, active shutdown, and short circuit clamping in DSO-8 150 mil and 300 mil packages. Perfect for driving CoolSiC SiC MOSFET, 100kV/µs CMTI, 100ns propagation delay, 40V Max output supply voltage, up to 10A output current.
The Infineon EiceDRIVER Enhanced family, including 1ED/2ED-F2, 1ED-SRC, 2ED-FI, isolated gate drivers with DESAT and Miller clamp, includes single- and dual-channel isolated gate drivers. These devices offer DESAT, Miller clamp, soft-off, two-level turn-off, and a wide output supply range (up to 40V). They are perfect for driving CoolSiC SiC MOSFETs.
