ams OSRAM TMF8829 dToF EVM Kits
ams OSRAM TMF8829 direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) EVM Kits provide an easy way to evaluate TMF8829 dToF sensors for distance measurement. These kits provide options to measure the sensor using the TMF8829 evaluation kit with Raspberry Pi Zero W or the MCU shield board with Arduino Uno. The TMF8829 demonstration kits use ZeroMQ for consistent data handling across all hardware configurations and include a GUI for real-time visualization and control. Typical applications include Laser Detect Autofocus (LDAF), robot automation like obstacle avoidance, bokeh effect for cameras, people counting, and advanced gesture detection.
Features
- Options to measure the sensor using:
- TMF8829 Evaluation Kit with Raspberry Pi Zero W
- Shield board controlled by an Arduino Uno
- Shield board controlled by the integrated STM32H503 USB to I2C controller
- The sensor supports 8x8 to 48x32 zones, and the EVM GUI processes up to four targets per zone
Applications
- Laser Detect Autofocus (LDAF)
- Bokeh effect for cameras
- Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)
- Robot automation, like obstacle avoidance, cliff detection, and room scanning
- People counting
- Advanced gesture detection
Kit Contents
