Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX77542 4-Phase High-Efficiency Buck Converters
Analog Devices MAX77542 Quad-Phase High-Efficiency Buck Converters employs an adaptive constant on-time (COT) current-mode control scheme and a flexible architecture that supports five phase configurations. The MAX77542 has a wide input-voltage range that allows a direct conversion for less than 1V outputs from 1- to 3-cell Li+ batteries and USB power delivery (PD) supply rails. The output voltages are preset with resistors and are further adjustable through an I2C-compatible interface. The ADI MAX77542 Converters include a flexible sequencer and programmable soft-start/soft-stop slew rates that provide controlled transitions between operating states. Programmable switching frequency, frequency tracking, and spread-spectrum features enable easier system optimization for noise-sensitive applications. Multifunction I/Os permit flexible control of each output for EN, LPM, FPWM, POK, RSTINB, and RSTOB status. An array of built-in protections guarantees safe operation under abnormal operating conditions.
