Insight SiP ISP4520 Series Development Kits & Boards

Insight SiP ISP4520 Series Development Kits and Boards evaluate ISP4520 Smart LoRa and BLE modules. This ISP4520 module is based on the Semtech SX126x LoRa® transceiver and Nordic Semiconductors nRF52832 BLUETOOTH® Low Energy (BLE) chip. The Insight SiP ISP4520 Series development kits and boards help develop LoRa connectivity solutions and provide full HW and SW necessary development environment for product developers. Applications include smart cities, smart retail, industrial internet, big data and data science, energy engagement, and smart grids.

The ISP4520-DK offers a complete hardware and software package to allow customers to evaluate the ISP4520 module, components to set up a two-communication solution, and software examples in source code to enable the customers to start developing their solutions quickly. Note that the ISP4520 comes in three variants (EU/US/AS), as the wireless standards for ISM bands (used by LoRa) are slightly different in these regions, and there is a version of the kit for each region. The only difference is that the ISP4520 module variant is mounted.

Kit Contents

  • One interface board with integrated J-Link OB JTAG/SWD emulator
  • One Tx Test board/Mote
  • One Rx Test board/Gateway
  • Cables
  • Firmware codes for both Mote and Gateway:
    • Mote is sending temperature sensor data
    • Gateway is receiving data and is transferring through the USB port com
  • LoRaWAN stack ported on the nRF52 platform
  • Test board with ISP4520 mounted, with easy access to I/O ports for fast prototyping
