Texas Instruments DRV7308 3-Phase 650V GaN Intelligent Power Module

Texas Instruments DRV7308 Three-Phase Gallium-Nitride (GaN) Intelligent Power Module (IPM) features a 205mΩ, 650V e-mode GaN for driving three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) and permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) motors up to 450VDC rails. The applications consist of field-oriented control (FOC), sinusoidal current control, and trapezoidal (six-step) current control of BLDC motors. The DRV7308 module helps to achieve greater than 99% efficiency in a three-phase modulated, FOC-driven, 250W motor drive application, and this is all accomplished in a QFN 12mm x 12mm package at 20kHz switching frequency, eliminating the need for a heat sink. Texas Instruments DRV7308 GaN IPM helps provide ultra-quiet operation with low dead time and is ideal for appliances, HVAC pumps and fans, residential air conditioners, cooker hoods, and brushless-DC motor modules.
