Texas Instruments TPS92200D1EVM/TPS92200D2EVM Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments TPS92200D1EVM/TPS92200D2EVM Evaluation Module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS92200D1 or TPS92200D2. These devices are synchronous buck-switching regulators designed for high-current LED driver applications. The Texas Instruments TPS92200D1/TPS92200D2 is a 1.5A synchronous buck LED driver with a wide input voltage range (4V to 30V). These devices support analog mode dimming (1% to 100%) with analog input (0.65V to 1.2V, TPS92200D1EVM only) and PWM mode dimming (100Hz to 2kHz (TPS92200D1EVM) or 20kHz to 200kHz (TPS92200D2EVM)). For safety, kinds of protection are implemented, including LED open/short protection, sense resistor open/short protection, and device thermal protection. The driver will enter hiccup protection mode to protect the LED from over-current damage once over-current is detected.

Features

  • Two 150mΩ/90mΩ MOSFETs for 1.5A continuous output current
  • 100mV internal voltage reference in analog/PWM dimming mode
  • Precision analog dimming by analog and PWM input as low as 1%
  • LED open/short protection
  • Sense resistor open/short protection
