The STMicroelectronics LSM6DSV80X 6-Axis IMU, now available at Mouser, delivers in-depth analytics and performance benchmarks across a wide range of sports and activities. Featuring accelerometer structures for both 16g and 80g full-scale sensing, the LSM6DSV80X is the industry's first IMU to offer high-g (80 g) and low-g capabilities in a single component. The LSM6DSV80X also includes a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) gyroscope and digital processing with sensor fusion low power (SFLP) technology. The LSM6DSV80X enables edge processing with a finite-state machine (FSM) for motion tracking and a machine learning core (MCL) for spatial orientation and gesture detection. The IMU's MCL offers exportable features and filters for AI applications. Additional features include Qvar electrostatic sensing, embedded adaptive self-configuration (ASC), and an embedded temperature sensor. The LSM6DSV80X IMU processes raw data locally, allowing for a broader analysis of sports performance.
The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-MKI247A adapter board is designed for evaluating the LSM6DSV80X IMU. It can be plugged into a standard DIL 24 socket and provides the complete LSM6DSV80X pinout and support circuitry. The STEVAL-MKI247A is supported by the STEVAL-MKI109D evaluation platform and can also be used with development tools, such as the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO and X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 kits.
