NXP Semiconductors Power Switches

NXP Semiconductors Power Switches offer motor driver/controller ICs that use SMARTMOS technology for industrial applications. The MC34931 (single) and MC34932 (dual) DC motor drivers are monolithic thermally efficient 28V/5A H-Bridge DC motor drivers featuring real-time load current monitoring and automatic thermal back-off ensuring high availability operation in demanding high-current, high-temperature industrial applications. It is designed primarily for DC brushed and servo motor driver applications. The MC34933 is a 1.4A dual H-Bridge driver aimed at the digital camera market. The MC34937A is a field effect transistor (FET) pre-driver designed for three-phase motor control and similar applications. The IC contains three high side FET pre-drivers and three low side FET pre-drivers. Three external bootstrap capacitors provide gate charge to the high side FETs.

MC34931

The NXP Semiconductors MC34931 5.0A H-Bridge Power IC is a monolithic thermally efficient 28V/5A H-Bridge DC motor driver featuring real-time load current monitoring and automatic thermal back-off ensuring high availability operation in demanding high-current, high-temperature industrial applications. It is designed primarily for DC brushed and servo motor driver applications within the current and voltage limits stated in this specification. This device is powered by SMARTMOS technology.

MC34932

NXP Semiconductors MC34932 H-Bridge Power IC consists of two monolithic thermally efficient 28V/5A H-Bridge DC motor drivers in the same package. It features real-time load current monitoring and automatic thermal back-off ensuring high availability operation in demanding high-current, high-temperature industrial applications. It is designed primarily for DC brushed and DC servo motor driver applications within the current and voltage limits stated in this specification. This device is powered by SMARTMOS technology.

MC34933

NXP Semiconductors MC34933 2-Channel H-Bridge Driver is aimed at the digital camera market. MC34933 uses NXP's proprietary SMOS8 Bi CMOS process to deliver a low power device, with a maximum quiescent current of 100μA for the motor drive supply and 400μA for the control logic supply. This device has four operation modes: forward, reverse, brake, and tri-state (high-impedance). The 34933 employs a VCC detection circuit to sense when the logic supply switches to an off-state with a maximum current of 1uA to extend battery life.

MC34937A

NXP Semiconductors MC34937A Three Phase Field Effect Transistor Pre-Driver is designed for three-phase motor control and similar applications. The integrated circuit (IC) uses SMARTMOS technology. The IC contains three high side FET pre-drivers and three low side FET pre-drivers. Three external bootstrap capacitors provide gate charge to the high side FETs. The IC interfaces to a MCU via six direct input control signals, an SPI port for device setup and fault detection, an asynchronous reset, an interrupt and two enable signals. Both 5.0V and 3.0V logic level inputs are accepted and 5.0 V logic level outputs are provided.
