Semtech nanoSmart SC573 300mA Low-Noise LDO Regulator

Semtech nanoSmart SC573 300mA Low-Noise LDO (Low Dropout) Regulator is designed to target applications for Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, such as including Semtech LoRa® Devices and Wireless Radio Frequency Technology (LoRa Technology). The nanoSmart SC573 offers a low quiescent current (50μA), enabling energy savings in everyday products by extending the operating life for battery-powered IoT sensors up to 10 years. Semtech SC573 is ideal for developers designing solutions for industrial and consumer applications, including smart metering and smart building.

The SC573 provides fixed output voltages, delivering up to 300mA of load current. Fixed output voltage eliminates the need for external feedback resistors. The SC573 has an input, output, and enable pin. Using the lowest possible input voltage for the output voltage reduces the power loss and improves overall package thermal performance and efficiency.

The device has fast turn-on and turn-off voltage slew rate for fast system start up and reset response. SC573 also provides protection circuitry such as short-circuit protection, under-voltage lockout, and thermal protection to prevent device failures. Stability is maintained by using 1μF capacitors on the output pins.

The nanoSmart SC573 LDO is available in 3.3V and 1.8V variants, and is offered in a compact, surface-mounted SC70-5 package.
